The glamorous Palm Beaches
Thinking of Florida again? What is it this time, the swaying palms, cool
ocean breezes, delectable seafood, sea air..... how about the Palm Beaches,
one of our hot picks this summer.
West Palm Beach is the name you'll know for glamour and wealth, but don't
pass through Palm Beach County without a stop at the natural beauty of John
D. Macarthur Beach State Park. Here you will be presented with picnicking,
fishing, and swimming opportunities. Choose to relax on unspoiled beaches
or walk along the shaded nature trails. Many enjoy the Palm Beach Princess
ship for an evening of coastal gaming and entertainment. The Morikami
Museum and Japanese Gardens in nearby Delray Beach offer an interesting
cultural experience, while back in West Palm Beach, Clematis Street
highlights the evening glamour of the city known for it's boutique shopping,
trendy dining and nightlife.
Lush, tropical Homestead, for the family
Still thinking of Florida? How does the lush, tropical greenery found in
the groves of Homestead's landscape nurseries sound? Known for ages as an
agricultural mecca, Homestead now boasts an historic downtown complete with
antique shops and cool walkways. The "Gateway to the Keys" lies close to
attractions in the Everglades, local Indian villages, and further south into
the Florida Keys. The Metro-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex hosts world
class racing events. And the mystery of the Coral Castle attracts visitors
in every season.
This town has much to offer families, including nearby Everglades National
Park. As a destination, or a stop along your families' summer itinerary,
see Homestead and take home a piece of true Florida.
Destin - a northern Florida gem
The emerald green Gulf waters of Destin sound so inviting, and they are!
Picture powder-white sand and a beach chair with your name on it. Whether
looking for golf, boating, or seafood, "The World's Luckiest Fishing
Village" invites you with pure Southern hospitality. Enjoy a Dolphin Cruise
where guides take you into the dolphin's natural habitat and provide
interesting, educational lessons. Coming from the North, you will
appreciate cutting out that last day's drive down Florida's peninsula, and
head west instead to the beaches of the Gulf.
Grab that beach chair now before the tide swallows it up!
